Well, it was only a month and a half late, but we finally had a birthday party for James. We bought a house in August, so we decided to postpone his party until we were moved in and had some time to get settled. This year’s birthday theme was Handy Manny, one of James’ favorite TV shows. I think he has learned a few things about home repairs, because I swear, I heard him say “that’s not how Manny would do it” on several occasions as Stacy and I were working on the house. Maybe next time we buy a house we’ll have James do all the work. Who am I kidding? These past couple of months were long and tiring. I don’t think we are moving ever again!

Anyway, you probably didn’t click on this post to hear (or read) about our adventures in home repair, did you? Nope, you came to see pics of the birthday boy. Well, here ya go:

Handy Manny red toolbox‑themed birthday cake with Manny's tools popping out, decorated with expressive faces and eyes, and “Happy Birthday James” written in white icing on the front, sitting on a kitchen counter.
