Stacy found a nice article that I wanted to pass on.
There is a 4-month-old boy, Seth, who was diagnosed with Complete DiGeorge Syndrome, which is a rare and fatal condition that inhibits the body’s immune system. There is a potentially lifesaving surgery that Medicaid will not cover, because they say the surgery is considered experimental.
A not-for-profit organization, MDwise, got wind of the story and has agreed to pay for the surgery. It’s stories like this that make me feel good. I don’t watch the news too much anymore, because it’s rather depressing. There is so much bad in the world, but stories like this show that there are angels all around us.
