Here are a few select pictures from our annual photo shoot that we had at the beginning of October.

In a black‑and‑white outdoor scene, James sits on a blanket with trees and soft foliage behind him. Stacy sits close behind, arms wrapped gently around him in a supportive hold. James wears a plaid shirt, while Stacy wears a sweater and boots. The photo has a quiet, timeless feel, capturing a moment of closeness and care in a natural setting.

Three people sit together outdoors on a blanket surrounded by trees with bright autumn leaves. James sits in the middle wearing a plaid shirt, with Jeff in a plaid shirt on one side and Stacy in an orange sweater on the other. Their light‑brown dog, Maggie, sits in front of them wearing an orange‑and‑white chevron bandana. The scene feels cozy and seasonal, with warm fall colors and a relaxed family moment captured in the open air.

Jeff leans in to kiss Stacy on her cheek. Trees and soft foliage fill the background, giving the photo a quiet, intimate feel that centers on closeness and family connection.

Three people are gathered outdoors on a white blanket laid over autumn grass. James lies in front wearing a plaid shirt and jeans, while Jeff and Stacy sit close behind him — Stacy in an orange sweater, Jeff in a plaid shirt. Trees with golden fall leaves fill the background, and the natural light gives the scene a cozy, seasonal feel. The moment reads as a relaxed family portrait in the middle of autumn.

In a black‑and‑white close‑up, James rests his head against Jeff, who is wearing a plaid shirt. Jeff leans down and presses a soft kiss to the top of James’ head. The background is blurred with hints of grass and outdoor texture, keeping the focus on the quiet, tender connection between them.

Three people stand together outdoors surrounded by bright fall foliage. James is held securely between two adults — Jeff in a plaid shirt, Stacy in an orange sweater — each supporting him with gentle, steady arms. The trees behind them glow with yellow and orange leaves, giving the scene a warm seasonal backdrop. The moment feels caring and grounded, capturing the three of them close together in the middle of autumn.

In a black‑and‑white photo, James sits centered in his wheelchair wearing a plaid shirt. Jeff in a plaid shirt leans in warmly from one side, while Stacy in a sweater leans in from the other. Both angle toward him with soft, affectionate expressions, creating a tight, tender cluster of the three of them. The background is blurred, keeping the focus on their faces and the closeness of the moment.

James sits in his wheelchair on a wooden dock near calm water, with Jeff and Stacy kneeling close beside him for support and connection. Their light‑brown dog Maggie sits in front wearing an orange‑and‑white striped bandana. Trees and a building sit in the background, softened by late‑day light. The moment feels peaceful and grounded, capturing the four of them together in a quiet outdoor setting.

James, in the center, sits in a wheelchair, with Jeff and Stacy kneeling close on either side, holding hands and leaning in toward him. Sunlight from behind creates a soft glow around the group, giving the scene a peaceful, supportive atmosphere.

Two adults stand together on a wooden dock beside calm water, Jeff in a plaid shirt and jeans and Stacy in an orange sweater with tall boots. Their light‑brown dog Maggie sits in front of them wearing a collar and leash. Tall grasses, autumn trees, and a large building sit in the background, all lit by soft late‑day light. The moment feels peaceful and outdoorsy, capturing a quiet fall scene with the three of them close together.

Maggie, a tan dog with a white chest and graying fur around the muzzle lies stretched out on a wooden dock, wearing a collar with a tag. Behind the dog, two adults stand close together — one in jeans and sneakers, the other in jeans and brown boots with a red sweater. The dock leads out over still water bordered by tall reeds and trees, with lantern‑style lights lining the edges. The scene feels peaceful and autumn‑soft, centered on Maggie resting comfortably at their feet.

Since Stacy became a Thirty-One consultant several years ago, she occasionally buys products for the house. As a guy, my usual response is “what the hell do we need another bag for?” They have branched out a bit and sell more than just bags now, like these pictures that they printed on metal plates:

A wooden display shelf sits beneath a television, with “THIS IS US” engraved across the front. Four square photo prints rest on top: one shows Jeff and Stacy embracing near water, another shows James seated in his wheelchair outdoors, a third shows Jeff, Stacy and James sitting together on a blanket, and the fourth shows two adults standing on a dock with their dog maggie lying beside them. A black decorative cutout spelling “LOVE” sits among the photos. The arrangement feels personal and intentional, highlighting family moments gathered into a single, cozy display.
