Fever

We’re starting to think that James is allergic to school or something. He started preschool in early September. He got sick shortly after he had his VNS implanted in late September, so we decided to keep him home from school sometime in October and finally sent him back to school on March 11th. This past Tuesday it looked like he was getting sick again with a fever. Stacy has found that putting James on his belly on a cooling mat works really well at bringing his fevers down.

This illness didn’t last long so James only missed a day of school, but there must be something going around. His one-on-one nurse was sick on Thursday, so Stacy was his “nurse” for the day. Stacy said that they had a guy come into the classroom to show the kids several different kinds of instruments and that James’ teacher danced with James while the guy was playing some music. She is an awesome teacher.

Birthday Invite

One of James’ classmates gave James an invitation to his birthday party. How awesome! James got invited to his first birthday party! It will be at one of those indoor trampoline places so James won’t be able to participate in the fun, but we still think he should go. I think it will be good for him to be with kids outside of the classroom. Even though he’s not verbal, would it still fall under socialization?
