March is Cerebral Palsy (CP) Awareness month, and Stacy has been posting daily facts on her Facebook page in an effort to raise awareness about CP. I want to post them on here as well, but I didn’t want to post every day. I also didn’t want to wait until the end of the month to post them all, so I thought that splitting the daily cerebral palsy facts up into two posts might make the most sense.
For this post, I will be sharing the daily facts from days 1 through 15. Then on the 31st, I’ll share the daily facts from days 16 through 31.
I should probably add that this post was not sponsored by Firefly, and we have not used any of their products. I do, however, feel obligated to link back to their website since I am using their images in this post. Thank you Firefly for putting these together to help raise awareness about cerebral palsy.
Day 1:
Just sit back, relax, and give James some love.
Day 2:
They believe that James had a stroke during the 1st trimester of the pregnancy.
Day 3:
James cerebral palsy was caused by the stroke he suffered before he was born.
Day 4:
Day 5:
We don’t plan on James leaving us anytime soon, but with all of his other medical issues, we just don’t know.
Day 6:
Never say never.
Day 7:
Day 8:
James loves to be invited places and if he can’t go, we will tell you, but the invite is the important part.
Day 9:
James was born at 39 weeks, which is considered full-term.
Day 10:
Day 11:
Day 12:
James is in a blended preschool. Next year he will doing both self-contained and mainstreamed kindergarten.
Day 13:
It is hard being the plant protector, the door holder, critter keeper…
Day 14:
Day 15:
James is just a 4-year-old who needs a little help with moving and there is nothing wrong with that!
Stay tuned for part 2 of these cerebral palsy facts, which I hope to post on Sunday the 31st.
