Welcome to Part 1 of the Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month posts. This will be a collection of the first 15 daily facts that Stacy has been posting on James’ Facebook page. I will plan to post Part 2 on the 31st.

Day 1

 

Day 2: The stroke that James had in utero did a number on his brain.

 

Day 3: Yep. That darn stroke that he had during the 1st trimester.

 

Day 4: James may be significantly delayed, but he learns in his own way.

 

Day 5: He is here for the long haul.

 

Day 6: Although James will never walk, many of his friends with CP do.

 

Day 7: He has been using his switches a lot more at school this year. Chatting up a storm.

 

Day 8: Yup!

 

Day 9: James was born at 39 weeks. He was the big man on the NICU campus.

 

Day 10: Yet! Give it time.

 

Day 11: James will live with mommy & daddy, and we think he is ok with that! Mommy does his laundry!!

 

Day 12: He attends an amazing school. He gets to hang with his peers doing fun activities.

 

Day 13: It can be a little stressful being as AWESOME as James is.

 

Day 14: Good to know!
