Not much to report this week other than James’ new ear tubes. We weren’t sure if James could have them put in with the ear infection, but the ENT said it was fine. He also had Botox injected in his salivary glands to see if helps reduce secretions. Yes, this is the same Botox that people use to get rid of wrinkles and to look younger. Since James is only 3 (almost 4), Stacy joked that he’ll look 2 after the Botox injections.

Ready for surgery

There were not any complications with the surgery or the injections. We weren’t expecting any problems with the ear tubes since that is a common procedure. We were a little bit nervous about the Botox, though, since that’s a relatively new thing. It’s hard to tell, but there may have been a little bit of a reduction in his secretions, but nothing too drastic. We’ll have to wait and see how long the effects of the Botox last, and then decide if we want to continue with the injections or not.
