James had a couple of doctor appointments today. He went to see the gastroenterologist to get a new Mic-Key button put in. The Mic-Key button is James’ g-tube that he uses for feeding. Stacy said that the process to remove the old one and put in the new one is pretty quick.

It’s kind of hard to tell from the pic above, but the button is sticking out from his stomach a bit. It should be flush against his stomach. The new one does sit flush against his belly.
After the gastroenterologist, James went to see the eye doctor for a checkup. The optic nerve in his left eye didn’t fully develop and the eye kind of wanders off to the left. They eye doc wants us to try to patch his right eye (the dominant eye) to see if we can make his left eye stronger. I would like to introduce you to Pirate James:
