This past week has been a relatively uneventful, but I felt like I need to post a little something.
I guess I should clarify and say that it’s been relatively uneventful as far as James goes…which is a good thing. As a family, however, we had something pretty big happen. I mentioned before that we had been looking for a house so that we can get out of our condo and not have to lug James and all of his stuff up and down the stairs. Well, we might have found it! We went to look at it last Sunday, the 17th, and liked it so much that we put an offer on it. They accepted the offer, so we signed the contract on Monday, pending inspection. The inspection was yesterday, and other than a couple of minor things, it looks good. We plan to close on the house in about a month. Fingers crossed nothing happens between now and then!
Stacy had a phone call with the neurologist that is overseeing the ketogenic diet that James in on for his infantile spasms. She would like to keep him on the diet, and made a small dosage change to one of the seizure meds that James is on. She would like to see James in early September.
Stacy’s cousin wants to make shirts in honor of James and his fight with epilepsy. All profits will go towards James’ medical fund. We are not sure of all the details yet, or how to buy one, so stay tuned.
