So last night around 9 pm James started to breathe funny. His hands and feel were really cold, and his head was burning up. We took his temperature, which was 102.7, so we gave him some medicine to try to bring it down. We also put a cold rag on his neck. James’ pulse ox also shows his heartrate. At one point, his heartrate was 210 beats per minute. He fell asleep around midnight and we took shifts watching over him through the night.
This morning he woke up at 5 am and it was like nothing was wrong. He wasn’t showing any signs of distress like he was last night. He still had a fever, but Stacy kept up with the Tylenol every four hours and by 6 pm tonight his temp was back to normal.
We swear that James was just testing us. In all honesty, this was mostly Stacy. She has been dealing with James a lot more than I have and she knows just what to do. Gold star for mommy!
