Hey all. Sorry it has been a couple of weeks since my last James post. (Yesterday’s venting post doesn’t count). I know I said that I was going to try to keep up with the weekly posts, but the last couple of weeks have been pretty quiet around here. We got a little bit of a break after all of James’ brain scans.
One of the things we have noticed since James got his tonsils and adenoids out back in April is that things have been a bit different for him. Other than the seizures, he is a more low-key kid. He’s doing good in his therapies; he’s sleeping like a baby; he is quiet when breathing (most of the time); and his secretions have been low and manageable. If we had known getting his tonsils and adenoids out would have made this much of a difference, we would have had them removed a long time ago!
We’re hopefully going to see the neurologist this week to go over the results of his MRI and MEG scan and find out if surgery is an option to get rid of the seizures. Please keep James in your prayers.
Oh, I almost forgot. This is how Stacy found James one morning a few days ago. She joked that he must have had a rough night partying with all of his monkey friends. Jokes aside, we may need to look into putting some sort of rail up so that he doesn’t fall out of bed. This is the second time we’ve found him like this in the morning.
