We took James to a neuro ophthalmologist today. What is that? Well, a neurologist (or neuro for short) is a doctor who focuses on abnormalities of the brain and central nervous system; and an ophthalmologist is a doctor that specializes in the eye and related structures. So, a neuro ophthalmologist is kind of like a cross between the two. They specialize in visual problems that are related to the nervous system and not the eyes themselves.

This was the first time this doctor had seen James so he did a little examination, went over his history and recommended we have a test done on James that will show us what his brain does when he looks at things. This test would be done through neurology so Stacy put a call into them and got him scheduled for June 24th.
