We moved into our new house last weekend, and I don’t think we’ve completely recovered yet. We’re still trying to get settled into the new place. I did promise you some pictures, though, so here ya go.

This is the entryway. The picture was taken from the kitchen. To the left is the front door. Notice the two doorways? When we bought the house, the doorway on the left led to the bedrooms and the doorway on the right went into the living room. There was a wall separating the living room from the hallway to the bedrooms, so in order to get from the living room to the bedrooms you would have to go into the entryway and then through the other doorway. We thought that was kind of silly, especially with James being non-mobile and having to carry him from the living room to his bedroom, and vice versa. The husband of one of Stacy’s friends does construction work, and removed the wall so that it would be a straight shot from the living room to the bedrooms. He left the pillar there because he thinks it is load-bearing.

Here’s the kitchen. If you’re questioning the post it notes all over the cabinets, they’re to identify what goes where.

Kitchen with wooden cabinets, light countertops, two windows above the sink, a dishwasher below, and a kitchen island with two tall stools, a red kettle on the stove, a coffee maker, and various items on the counter, with colored sticky notes labeling drawers and cabinets.

This is the dining room. We had a red accent wall in the dining room at our condo and decided to do the same thing here.

Dining room with a red accent wall, light wood flooring, a black‑covered rectangular table with four wooden chairs, cocktail‑themed artwork above, a cabinet with red candles on the left, and a small corner shelving unit with figurines and orange flowers on the right.

Wooden sideboard against a beige wall with three glass candle holders containing red candles, four framed still‑life prints arranged above, and a view into a kitchen with wooden cabinets, a white dishwasher, and natural light from a window.

A couple of pictures of the living room with James hanging out on the couch watching TV:

When we originally put together James’ room, we setup his bed as a crib, just like it was at the condo. On Thursday we decided to convert it into a toddler bed. We’re not sure how we like it yet. He is so much lower to the ground now. It’s going to require a lot more bending to get him in and out of the bed, and when he needs to be suctioned.

The office / storage room. (More storage than office right now)

Room that has yet to be unpacked, with plastic storage bins, cardboard boxes, and a laundry basket on the carpeted floor, a corner desk with a black office chair and shelves holding papers and equipment, a black filing cabinet, and a large monitor box leaning against the wall beneath two windows with closed blinds.

Master bedroom. The closet is all Stacy’s. I’ll use the closet in the office.

We’ve still got a bit to do before we’re completely settled in, but we’re getting there. Thanks again to everyone that’s help us out with this move. We really appreciate it!
