He was off oxygen today!
The night shift nurse made a few errors tonight. They’ve been checking the residual food in James’ stomach prior to his next feed to make sure he is digesting his food. The nurse didn’t do this tonight. She also almost gave him 50 ml of breastmilk instead of the 15 ml that he should be getting. Fortunately, Stacy caught her mistake before she started his feed. She said that she thought the nurse before her said 50, and not 15. This is why you check the patient’s chart before you administer anything. 😉
