They bumped his feeds from 20 ml to 25 ml over 3 hours.

With the NG- and NJ-tubes that were inserted in his nose last night, he will start getting his meds through the NG-tube and his feeds through the NJ-tube. If you didn’t read yesterday’s post, the NG-tube goes into his nose and stops at the stomach; the NJ-tube goes past the stomach and into the small intestine. So, his meds will go into his stomach while his feeds will bypass his stomach and go into the small intestine. It might be hard to see in the pic below, but they labeled each of the tubes so they know which one is which.
