If you read yesterday’s post, it was a feel-good story. Today I wanted to share a feel-good, but also sad story. It’s about a little boy named Dax who was born in June of 2007. When he was just over a year old, he was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia and doctors had said that he probably wouldn’t make it to see Christmas. Dax’s dad wanted to make sure that he would see Christmas so he put up their Christmas decoration early. When the neighbors found out what he was doing, they started to put up their decorations as well. But it didn’t stop there. As word spread, both locally and worldwide, people started putting up their Christmas decorations in honor of Dax.

Unfortunately, Dax did lose his battle with leukemia, but he did get “one last Christmas”. If you would like to read his obituary, it can be found here:

Matthew West, a Christian artist, was inspired by Dax’s story and wrote a song about it. The video can be found below. You might want to have a tissue ready.
