I was going to start this post by apologizing for posting so many videos of James. Then I thought, “wait a minute. People come here to catch up on James and see what he’s been up to. So why should I be apologizing for posting a lot of James videos?” Sometimes I don’t know what I’m thinking.

School

Anyway, I’ve got a few more videos to share with you. I have said this before, and I will keep on saying it, James is kicking butt in school this year. He’s working so hard, and we are extremely proud of him. We also love his nurse and his therapists and how they all cheer him on. We really couldn’t ask for a more supportive environment for him to learn and grow.

Here is James in his stander:

Here’s another video of him in his stander with a laptop getting ready for therapy. Or maybe he’s checking his e-mail.

In the video below he is on his knees with support from his physical therapist. He is holding his head up on his own.

He doesn’t have head control yet, but he’s working on it.

In hearing therapy, they were trying to get him to turn his head towards the music playing on the laptop. He did pretty good:

Fundraiser

We’re still working hard on the fundraiser that we’re planning for April. Stacy went out about a week ago to sell some tickets for some of the things we are raffling off. Doesn’t she look purdy?

Stacy standing in a warmly lit kitchen wearing a sleeveless black dress, black tights, and black shoes, with hands on her hips near wooden cabinets, white appliances, Route 66 signs above the window, and red rugs on the light wood floor.

Stacy as seen from behind wearing a large purple flower hair accessory in her long dark hair, standing in a kitchen with wooden cabinets, a patterned curtain over the window, Route 66 state signs on the wall, and various items on the countertop including papers, a cup, and a green plant.

Santa Claus

Last weekend we took James to see Santa. This wasn’t an ordinary Santa, though. It was the Caring Santa, who is a special Santa for families with children that have special needs. I really don’t know why they call him that. Aren’t all Santas caring? If you don’t care, can you really be Santa Claus?

Before we got to see Santa, we hung out in the Snow Globe, which is a big dome with fake snow falling from the ceiling.

Stacy holding James in front of a painted snowy mountain backdrop, both with mouths open in an excited expression, with Stacy wearing a purple shirt and a colorful Winnie‑the‑Pooh blanket draped over their arm while James wears glasses and a gray shirt.

Hi Santa

As much as we would love to send each of James’ fans a Christmas card, there are just too many of you. I hope this picture of our Christmas card will suffice. We love you all and hope you all have a safe and happy holiday season.
