As some of you may know, our first son, Jackson, was diagnosed with Trisomy 18 and passed away before he was born. In Trisomy 18, the baby receives 3 copies of chromosome 18 instead of the normal 2. This extra chromosome 18 disrupts the normal pattern of development that can be life-threatening. March 18th is Trisomy 18 Awareness Day and we wanted to share the below video.

Before we get to the video, Stacy and I wanted to say a few words to Jackson:

Jackson, wherever you are, I hope that you know that your mommy and daddy love you and miss you. We will always hold a place in our hearts for you. XOXO
