James’ last day of school was Wednesday. He hadn’t been doing well on Monday so Stacy decided to keep him home on Monday and Tuesday hoping that he would be healthy enough to attend the end of year festivities. He was a little better on Wednesday so off to school he went. The students in James’ class did a cute little song. Stacy attended and took a video for me to watch. It was really cute. I won’t post it here out of respect for the other students’ privacy.
Congrats James on finishing your first year of school. It was a rough one. Hopefully next year will be better.
Well, I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later. I’m actually surprised that it took this long. With James being sick for the past eight months, one would think that Stacy would have gotten sick long before now, but it finally happened.
Thursday night both Stacy and James had fevers. Maybe there is something in that school. If James kept getting sick after going to school, and then Stacy spent the last day there with him, and now she is sick, too, makes me wonder.
Both of their fevers were gone on Friday, but they were both still feeling a bit crappy. I asked Stacy if she wanted me to stay home from work, but she said “no, I got this.” Yes, dear. Stacy took James to the pediatrician just to be checked out. He has an infection in his right ear. Here we go with another round of antibiotics! He is supposed to be getting new ear tubes put in on Wednesday so hopefully this infection doesn’t change that.
Hopefully everyone had a good weekend. Please say a little prayer for James on Wednesday that there are no issues with his ear tube surgery.
