James had vision therapy today and the therapist brought an iPad. One of the apps installed on the iPad is called something like “Talking Hippo”. It’s basically a hippo that listens to what you say and repeats it with its own voice. Simple, yet so cool. Stacy said that at one point James was reacting to the hippo talking to him. Unfortunately, she did not get video of James “talking” to the hippo, but she did get some video that shows James wide awake and engaged with the hippo.
After seeing the way James reacted with the iPad, we are more determined to get him one now. Somehow, someway, we will get him one. Several people have sent us money to put towards an iPad and we are extremely grateful. If you would like to help out by sending a donation, here is the link:
