Tomorrow James turns 1 year old. If you’ve been following this blog over the past year, you know the past year has been pretty rough for all three of us. The pregnancy was uneventful so when James was born with so many medical issues it hit us like a ton of bricks. I still remember sitting in a conference room in the NICU with our parents and a bunch of doctors and someone saying that they were not sure what his life expectancy was going to be. It has been a very long year, but somehow we survived it. All of us.

Here is a little look back on James’ first 11 months. Tomorrow we’re having a big party to celebrate James turning 1. I am sure there will be lots of pictures of his big day so be sure to come back to check it out.
