I normally write posts on Sundays, but with the fundraiser tomorrow I know I won’t have the time to write one, so I decided to write a quick one today.
We started to put the wheels in motion (pun intended) for this fundraiser about a year ago. We can’t believe it’s actually here!
If you read the “Will James Be Healthy Enough to Attend the Fundraiser” post, or have been following his page on Facebook, you know James wasn’t doing well. I am happy to report that he is doing much better, and long as he doesn’t make a nasty turn, we will all be in attendance tomorrow.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone there. If you are local and want to come out, you can still buy tickets at the door. We’ll have food, drinks, a DJ, auctions, raffles, a photobooth, face painting for the kids, and more. It should be a pretty awesome time. Oh, and did I mention that Robin Baumgarten from WGN Morning News will be there?
We want to give a big shout out to everyone who made this event possible. You’ve put in a lot of your free time over the past year, and we are eternally grateful. And a big thank you to everyone who donated something to the event. Everything looks awesome. Here are some of the donated baskets that we will be auctioning off:
