Welcome to 2014. How’s your year going so far? It’s been pretty quiet in James’ world, which is a good thing, but he did want to tell his fans that he plans on rocking this year. If this year is anything like the past four months of school, I have no doubt that he will continue kicking some butt this year…as long as we can continue to keep him healthy.

We thought he might be getting sick towards the end of December, but by not being in school and being at home, he seems to have bounced back. If he had been in school, he would most definitely be sick. Our high temperature on Monday was -9 degrees Fahrenheit. Yes, you read that correctly, 9 degrees below zero was our high.

It was so cold that Stacy and I did an experiment and made our own snow. People were posting it on Facebook so we thought we would give it a try. You fill a glass with warm water, take it outside, throw the water in the air and it instantly freezes. It’s crazy! We took a video of it to show James. If you didn’t see the video on his Facebook page, here it is:

That was the highlight of our year so far. We have such exciting lives, I know!

Fundraiser

In other news, our fundraiser is running full speed ahead. We are less than three months away from what we hope to be an extremely successful event. We have been blown away by the support and generosity of people…many of whom we have never met. We have gift baskets that we will be auctioning off, silent auction items, raffle prizes, a DJ, a photobooth, and food. If you are interested in coming out to the event, more information can be found here:

www.rollingforjames.com

If you have a local Chicagoland business and are interested in being a sponsor and having your logo on the shirts that we will be selling at the event, please send us a message on James’ Facebook page. Thank you.

And a special thank you to all those who have been working so hard over the past several months to help put this fundraiser together. We are extremely grateful.
